The Messier's description
Petite nébuleuse sans étoiles,
au-dessous & à quelques minutes de celle de la ceinture d'Andromède; cette petite nébuleuse est ronde, sa lumière plus foible que quelle de la
ceinture. M. Le Gentil la découvrit le 29 Octobre 1749. M. Messier la vit, pour la première fois, en 1757, & il n'y a reconnu aucun changement.
Small nebula
without a star, below and at several minutes from that in Andromeda's girdle; this little nebula is round, its light fainter than that in the girdle.
M. le Gentil discovered it on 1749 October 29. M. Messier saw it for the first time in 1757 and has not found change in it.
Piccola nebulosa
senza stelle, sotto e a qualche minuto da quella della cintura di Andromeda; questa piccola nebulosa é rotonda, e la sua luce molto più debole di
quella della cintura. M. Le Gentil l'ha scoperta il 29 ottobre 1749. M. Messier la vide per la prima volta nel 1757, e non vi ha notato alcun
cambiamento.
